PBL on Reginald Delargey

Hi this is who I chose for PBL, I hope you enjoy my blog.

Reginald Delargey

The founder of Caritas in NZ.

Who is he?

He’s a bishop that founded Caritas
and started making New Zealand be a part of Caritas.

Who is Caritas?

Caritas is a charity that helps people that need help all over the world. They try to encourage us to help the people and make a difference in the world. Caritas love to be kind and work in unity together as one. Like Caritas says, the most important thing in the the world is He Tangata, He Tangata, He Tangata (it is the people, the people, the people).

Early life
He was born in Timaru on the 10th December 1914, one of 6 children. As a child he moved around a lot with his family and then went to boarding school at Sacred Heart college in Auckland.

Priesthood

Reginald became a priest on the 19th March 1938. He was appointed Bishop of Auckland on 18th September 1970, and then became Archbishop of Wellington on 25th April 1974. On 24th May 1976, he was created Cardinal priest Pope Paul VI.

He died?

He died on the 29th January 1979 (age 64) in Auckland.

Why did I choose him?

I chose him because he is a good influence for me, he founded Caritas in NZ and I love helping people in charity.

Interesting facts.

In 1969 Bishop Reginald Delargey established Caritas NZ.

2019 marks 50 years since the Catholic Bishop established the charity.

He was a director of the Catholic Youth Group.

He was ordained in Rome.

Our generation dolls

I have 3 our generation dolls and one that's from BBB friends.
BBB stands for fun, fab, friends!!! Don't know why they called it BBB. I have a lot of the our generation collections. I have

  • The horse stable.
  • The dog wash.
  • The ballet set.
  • Sleep over party.
  • The hair dresser set.
  • The food truck.
  • The horse float.
I'm hoping to get this for my birthday.

  • The American diner.
If lock down is finished.

One of my dolls are called Stephanie, I called her that because she's a pilot and my cousin knows a friend called Stephanie. She's an air host and my cousin got to go to New York for free in first class. Also my doll likes to do ballet.

I called another one Ariella because she looks like me, she's a hair dresser and likes to work at the food truck!!!

I called another one Mackenzie because I'm Scottish and it's a Scottish name. She likes to walk the dogs and is the owner of the food truck, she loves to make meals for dolls and groom there dogs.

The BBB doll is called Holly because if my name wasn't Arielle it was going to be Holly, Holly loves horse riding and she loves one of her horses called Golden. She loves eating at the food truck and meeting her friends.

I've got 3 dogs.

One called Max. He loves the farm and he's Holly's dog, he's a German shepherd.

There is one called husk. She is a husky and she's Mackenzie's dog, she loves going walks to the beach.

One is called Collie, he's a collie and he loves going on trips with Stephanie. His favourite trip was going to Scotland.

I have 2 vehicles.

One is a motor bike, it has a helmet and is coral.

I have a jeep that's pink and can tow the horse float on it.

I love our generation dolls.

What do you collect ?

Wanted dog!!!!!

His name is Buddy and he is a wanted dog. He has brown and white hair. His old name was Whittakers before he came into town.
He is really wanted for his horrible stealing by eating all the yum food which is everything except grapes and soy sauce. Which he hates. All the people have only tried grapes and soy sauce which they hate. He is 3 years old in human years, he has floppy ears and spots that everyone's scared of. He likes to have tummy rubs and hugs. He's wanted all over the world. If you get this dog you can call.

027 033 72543 + you can get $5000,000.
But try and keep away if you can't catch him. By Arielle Russell the newsletter reporter.

Sensei Larry

Yesterday on Zoom we had another Sensei take over our class. He lives in Los Angeles and he has a black belt. He is higher than our Sensei's grade. He told us about this cool move, it's meant to look like a bow and arrow. He told us we can  strike and block at the same time. Next Thursday he will be teaching us again. This Tuesday there will be another Sensei called Mark coming. Can't wait to sigh up for him!!!!

Lock down for Me.

Over the past few weeks it's been a bit boring but I'm learning new stuff. Last Friday it was my dog's birthday, we celebrated it by walking him round  the Rawhiti Athletic  domain. Me and my family played so much games with my dog called Buddy, we made him a vanilla cake. He loved the cake!! Can't wait till his next birthday comes!!!  On Monday I did karate on line with Zoom, we could see Sensei  online with the other karate students. It was really fun but it was scary incase I might hurt myself or break some furniture. Then I heard that we can sign up for a Sensei that's been training for more than 60 years, which will be Fridays blog. Today I played this game called kerby, you had to hit it off the kerb and try to bounce it back to you. If you live in a busy street you can play it with wood for kerbs.
