 Hello, this week for writing I done sentence stakers witch was quite cool. because our principle get involved with a lot of thing like reading book on the Friday after lunch, Vistes our class a lot, asks us if we need help with our work and dose sentence stakers. Here's my writing for last weeks.

Chunk 8, Rescued & reunited.

The sound of the tumbling waves crashed against the soft sand.

The sound sounded nice and calm after a big windy storm: the waves crashed, the lighting boomed, the hail skirted across the ground. Lola’s grandparents were searching for her. Tapping on the deck, was a stranger that swiped Lola up and put her down in front of him. Tapping Lola on her head. She skipped over to her grandparents. The stranger went back into his arcade. Lola and her grandparents went into the bus never going to return again.

Maths week 8 term 3

Hello, this week  for Maths we had to do fractions. I made a lot of mistakes but I there in the end.

Here's the problem I needed to solve.

Question 1: 

In order to combat extreme hunger around the world, agriculture systems worldwide must become more productive and less wasteful. There are a few different systems being used in Africa in order to feed their people, especially their children. 

Which Farmer was most successful?

Farmer A planted 8 rows of 8 lettuces and yielded 3/4 of his crop

Farmer B planted  10 rows of 6 lettuces and yielded  5/6 of his crop

Writing week 7 term 3

 Hi, this week were focusing on sentence stakers we did this one called Pip. It's about a guide  dog that goes to this canine University

Exam day.

Pip was waiting patiently for his name to get called up. Pip was strolling with pride in him, then Pip looked at the instructor to see if she was alright. He stumbled over a piece of actument then the instructor tripped over Pip.  The instructor gave Pip a long mean stare and a grumpy old frown. The instructor got off the testers desk, sadly Pip had to leave the Canine University. Pip was watching all the dogs have a clear pass. Pip was so sad that he never had a clear pass he had a horrible bad pass of failure. Pip was happie for all the dogs but he still had a miserable face.

  Hello, this week we did sentences stakers we watch a video called  Inner thought and we had chooses a bit to write about I chooses number 4.

Paul's brain wanted to walk past all the fun shops, the heart wanted Paul to quit his job in the office so he could enjoy his life. His brain loved to be careful so that Paul would not hurt himself, ( his brain loved his daily habits [ So that nothing can go wrong. Paul’s heart loved to party all day but Paul's, know it all, brain just had worries. Paul’s mind thought fun is something dangerous,  being boring can be dangerous all so. Flippity flop, flippity flop, flippity flop. Paul’s mind was trying to open the door, the brain loved paul sitting in the same chair, the same building, the same people around him, the same computer and the same work time.

Writing Week 4 term 3

 Hello, This week we had to carry on with the activate like last week. 

Here's my work.

Good health and well being.

Killing because of bad health, 17,000 fewer children die each day.

In 1990 children were dying because of bad health or bad health in parentes.

 How sad would you be if your health was killing a person or a kid. Since 2000,  measles vaccines have come nearly 15.6 million have died, that’s really bad.

  We need to step up and put money in charity. Most of the people that get sick fast are in all the places where wars happen and not as many houses.

 If we help poverty then we can help diseases. We must help the world and the people. Everyone is important and we all can make a change if we start now, by taking 10,000 steps a day so you don’t get bad health.

Why have we not done anything about it?

One person can try to make a change but we all have to. 

Couldn’t we go for more walks, do more swimming, join the community that’s great walking exercises and well being trying to help someone, there’s your problem solved!!!

I know it would be tiring and hard but it’s great to get fresh air and exiscies. 

More than 450 million have mental health around the whole world and it’s still going.

         Think how can we make a change?

What, How, Rodog was growing bigger and bigger each day. Mr Hublot remembered when he saw the scared sad puppy. Mr Hublot remembered he had some feelings for Rodog when he first saw him. Why did I bleem Rodog for my horrible habits,  He thought to himself. Change his habits to look after Rodog, with a happy smile on his face after he got him. He couldn’t believe he had old habits, he loved living his life with Rodog. Clank, bash Rodog was moving stuff around the house squashen through each door. Mr Hublot thought of something sad that he may need to change Rodogs life. he could not turn back, so he would need to be sure he would what to change his life.

Maths week 2 term 3

Hi, this week for maths, we had to do maths on our new bike track. 

Here's the qustions  we can chooses from

1. Using the image above, what is the ratio between the pedal gear and sprocket?

If you were to turn the crank 9 full rotations how many revolutions would the wheel do?

If one rotation of the pedal gear moves the bike 150cm, how far will the bike travel around the track if you did 5 full rotations of the pedal gear.

Which gear ratio would you have to pedal more as you go once around the bike track - 4:1 or 2:1, what is your reasoning?

2.There are currently three big tree stumps sitting in the way of where the bike track will go.

The stump removal company have quoted $253 to get the three tree stumps removed.

They are currently running a special of 20% off stump removal for the next week. If we book in during this time…

 What would the dollar amount of our discount be? 

What would the total price now be to get the 3 stumps removed?

Now that we have calculated the price of removal, the company have made contact and said we can have a further 17% off if we pay in advance, what will the cost now be, if we take up their offer?

Writing week 2 term 3

Hello, this week for writing were doing Hansel and Gretel, We had to describe the witch and how big is Hansel.

Here's my work.

 

Something appeared out of the candy cottage door which Hansel never ate or Grentel. An old lady came out of the door with a big smile and said in the seewtest voice “ Are you lost lovely children, come into my house I’m baking some cookies and boiling the kettle for some nice tea”. The kids thought to themselves she may take us in and look after us. At the same time they said “ Yes please” the witch smiled and said “ Oh wonderful”. She peered at them, sizing them 

Up. The lovely Old woman looked like she was 78 and having a cute walking stick that looked like it matched her outfit. She had lovely nice pretty bright blue glasses, her eyes were like lion eyes that were pretty inusal to see on a person. The witch told Grentel that he made Hansel big by feeding him food. The witch put both of them in a big cage Hansel looked like a tomato but without the skin colour. Grently feed him Sweet sherbet, gingerbread and lasting strawberries. They saw an old bone in the middle of the floor in the candy cottage. They thought  why is there a finger on the floor?

Writing week 1 term 3

Hello, this week for writing we based it on Hansel and Gretel. We did descriptive writing and we had to descriptive what the cottage looked like and what it smelled like.

Here's my work.

The sour fresh fruity scent lingered through the drift of the breeze, they could almost taste it in their mouth. Hansel and Gretel scurried along the cold damp, dingy, depressing forest. The draft of the freezing mist going into their feet, the tree leaves where as an Autumn that would last forever. They paused. They paused silently. They paused silently and anxiously. They could nailly taste a spicy gingerbread scent, floating through the air and trying to go into their mouths.  They noticed a little cottage in the woods. They could not believe their eyes. A house that you can eat.  They knew they shouldn't touch the sweet crunchy house, They could not resist the sweet salty caramel dripping down from the house. They knew they might possibly get in trouble but they saw some tasty crunchy gingerbread cookies. “I’m terrified this place is creepy” mumbled Greatl. “It’s alright Greatl were all going to be okay”

Tippy was so mad at the Two Musical rivals. She thought there would be no one in the middle of the town square, the men looked at each other like there was a whole war about music fighting to hear who was the best. Her face was so red like a volcano Exploding. She was so mad because the two musicians made her drop a coin on the ground then it rolled away. She pointed at a man's vivaloan but huffaly, the other musician passed the vivaloan over to tippy. Tippy was horrible at first then the  musicians started to laugh at her. Tippy was determined to get it right,  after the 3 times Tippy got it right she did the hardest song ever. Then 5 seconds later she got a whole bag of gold coins. She pulled 3 gold coins out of her bag and showed the two musicians, she told them to come and get the coins. They scurred over and wondered she was actually giving us another chance by giving us some money? Tippy was smiling like an evil villain, When the men got closer she thought the 3 coins behind her, the musicians were not happy but Tippy was.

Sentences stackers

Hello, this week were for writing I'm doing sentences stackers. Our video is called Piper.

Here's my writing.

Popping up on the warm soft sand, tiny seeds on a tiny hard shell. Where the sand is warm that you can’t get cold, the waves sound so peaceful but still some splashing in pipers ears. Piper saw a wave that was about to crash on Piper's head. He saw the tiny crab shuffling down on the soft warm sand. Piper had no choice to follow the crab. By making a big hole, he will need to take his chance by following the tiny crab. Piper ruffled down on the soft sand, closing his eyes when the big wave came smosh on top of Piper's head. He opened one eye after another seeing the tiny crab if he was all good. He saw that he was safe under the blueberry- blue sea, that was like a blanket over his head. Grabbing a hard white shell, putting it on the warm soft sand. Where the soft sand tapping on Piper's mums feet, the sandpipers going close to the sea. crashing booming the sea in their ears. Running in the sea piper goes shuffling trying to make a hole. Crawling up hoping it would work again, getting ready to grab some shells for him and his family. He made a hole in the wet  syrup - gold sand. Piper is showing how to run in the sea. Teaching all the sandpipers how to grab a shell. Running in the sea all the time.

La Luna/ Moon

The first week for writing we did La Luna which means moon. The characters were grandad, Luca and Dad.

Here's the story.

 La Luna/ Moon

  Title: A present.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          

Luca was in a boat at night with his grandad and Dad. Lucas looked at his grandad and Dad they both looked at Lucas like he won the Lottery. Then his grandad was holding something behind his back. What is Lucas wondering what he is doing in the middle of the sea? He sees nothing except his grandpa and dad in the middle of the sea. He’s dad is holding a light. When Lucas was on his way to the middle of the sea, he had only seen the sun set going down. It was like a big flame cooling down by jumping in the sea. Grandad pulled out from his back a sailor hat, Lucas has alway wanted a sailors hat. Dad and grandad were happy but then dad put the hat on his head. Grandad and dad started touching his hat and moving it and fighting over it. Should he stop them from fighting over the hat? They were even worse than a Zoo of animals grabbing a hat, they were tilting it side to side. How should He politely say please stop? Then something started glowing and rising out from the sea.

It was a big and strong light, It was really big. It looked like a giant ball that was rising up from the sky, it was the full moon. How did his dad and grandad know about this place? It's the best spot to see the big moon.

Lcaus was so shocked that his grandpa and dad knew about this place all along. Then they waited until dad told him to stand back. What is his dad doing? Lucas' dad was pulling out something big. It was a ladder for him to go up to the moon. His dad pointed his hand at Lucas and pointed up to the moon. Fifi missed him, Fifi was Deno's first friend and Deno’s best friend.
There was yarn full of questions with pieces of string flowing through Fifi's mind.

Friday French
